yo, this video's about breaking the sound barrier thing : D
Notice how there's the water vapour around the aircraft? :) Pastor mentioned in his message that when a person breaks the sound barrier, there will be the vapour thing surrounding it and there's the loud BOOM too (i'm sure you heard it) and then after that there's just complete silence. because everything's just so peaceful after a person breaks the sound barrier :)
idk why i'm sharing this even though pastor talked about it before. I just felt like it I think, and found it cool with all the boom thingy and stuff. HAHA. anyways. Pastor mentioned that when we have the faith momentum, we are like the aircraft which would gradually gather speed. Though pressure will build up upon us, but God wants every single one of us to hold on (to Him, and His word) until we enter a whole new realm of his blessings and to kick the devil of of our lives :) the new realm in this case is the peaceful thingy after the BOOM :D
hohoho, so cool so cool :)
anyways, today preaching was good. :) it was about Worshiping God :)
I'm going to do up a short summary on today's sermon cos Celine, Rey and Jasper wasn't there? : O lulz. (and Jay too, but he probably would have some notes on the sermons already? idk? hahahahaha)
-----
Philipians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
God doesn't want us to depend on our own skin and flesh (human nature) for our salvation (to become the Children of God : D), but instead worshiping Him in the spirit and rejoicing in Jesus :)
Worshiping God magnifies what God is to us :) Worship brings intimacy. When we worship God, it is that intimacy which fills us up so that we're never empty and lonely! : D and also so that we don't have to go into other areas to receive self centered intimacies like slashing ourselves, getting into bgrs (at our age) & sex out of marriage (or underaged sex).
Deuteronomy 6:13
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
God doesn't want us to fear him in a sense that we must be scared and afraid and avoid Him that sort of manner.
The fear of the LORD in this case is to worship :) this verse is relative to Luke 4:8, see:
Luke 4:8
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
:D so cool right.
So now, you must be curious what are the advantages of worshiping God right! : D Pastor shared on the blessings we receive when we worship :)
Blessing #1: KNOWLEDGE
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
knowledge here refers to having this observation ability thing which is imparted to us when we worship! :) when we worship God, we will attain the same ability that God has to observe and receive knowledge :)
When we worship God, the "perfume" of God will stay on us forever. "Perfume" in this case can be related to the "ability to observe" (!) :D
BLESSING #2: WISDOM
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
wisdom here refers to devine wisdom and skilled living. to be honest, i think i missed out the point on where "skilled living" comes from. someone tell me please&thankyou :)
BLESSING #3: CONFIDENCE
Proverbs 14:26
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
Worshiping God builds up our confidence :) so we wouldn't have any low self-esteem :) As mentioned above, worshiping God magnifies what God is to us. :D In this case, we are worshiping God to magnify that He is above all our situations!
When we have confidence, we will have clarity of mind! & That helps us to face our difficult situations! :D
BLESSING #4: LONG LIFE
Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
yay! :D yes, long life. God wants to bless us with riches, and as well as honour and life.
nobody wants to be rich but hated right? :) we would want to be looked up upon wouldn't we? HAHA. so yeappz. God can make that happen :) prolong days here would mean manymany more GOOD DAYS. HOHOHO. so awesomez.
{
No fire in the end lorz, so idiotic. waste 1 hour of my life waiting for the dang lift to get fixed then i gave up and climb stairs. alright, too lazy to elaborate. HAHA.
anyways, i shall continue from where i left off :)
Pastor closed his message with a story from the book of Acts.
Acts 16:16-34
The story talks about how Paul and Silas got jailed but managed to get out in the end because they worshiped God. They were under tight security when they were in jail. As soon as they started pray and singing hymns to God, there was an earthquake and everything shook. All the prison doors opened and everyone's chains became loose! :D The person in charge of the jail cells came to check on them and when he saw all the prison doors opened he thought everyone escaped and was about to kill himself when Paul stopped him and told him that everyone was there.
The guy was like trembling and kneeling in front of Paul and Silas and asked them what he should do. And they said to him to believe in Jesus Christ and then he and his family would be save. So he did, Paul and Silas shared with him the gospel and one that very night he and his family got baptized. :)
Pastor shared this story to show us how God can turn our situations around for us even in our darkest moments. All we have to do is worship him and the heavens will move and make the things around us work for us! :) When we worship, we are magnifying Jesus. Everything is about Him, and not us. Because when man depend on themselves (their flesh), they fail.
alright, that's it. hahahahahaha.
byeeeeeee, hope you guys have been blessed by pastor's sermon because I know I have! :)
