Hi Guys! Haha, 2nd post... XP
Anyway, I just read the daily devotional from the NCC website. It was really inspiring because I have been rather vexed over the upcoming FYEs. It said this:
"Whenever the devil throws something at us, we need not lose hope. In fact, we can be sure that God will turn it around for our greater blessing because He is for us."
Yeah, that's rite... Even though we might feel that whatever we are currently going through is stressful, tiring and even pointless, we should know that God made us do this to SET US UP for something greater in our life. For example, some people might think that studying Chinese is pointless (If you're one of them, gimme a five! xP). However, you never know what god wants in your life. Who knows, he might have done this because he wants you to be someon prominent in China?! (;
You'll never be able to understand how much Jesus loves you. Just experience it without question. I dunno whether I should, but I guess I'll share this testimony with you guys :)
In term 2, I applied for entrance to VJC(Integrated Program). I didn't really want to go as I was very comfortable in SJI and actually applied for the sake of it. I still remember clearly that VJC required us to submit our Sec.2 Mid-Year results during the application process. As I was rather lazy(Yupp, That's Me XD), I did not submit the required document. However......
I still made it through to the Interview Rounds! I was dumbfounded, I really did not know that this would occur. The only plausible explanation is Daddy God :)
During the interview, I was constantly murmuring and had a very obvious lack of confidence. I had already given up hope of being accepted into VJC. However, this did not happen. I was accepted into VJC! I can still remember when I received that piece of news. I was staring at the computer suspecting that it was a fake mail from some spammer. It was TOOO good to be true.
Even though I was accepted, I did not want to go to VJC because I really love SJI, my friends and my caring and loving teachers. I really believed, at that point of time, that SJI was the best place for me to be in, to make a difference and to truly grow in faith. I had already planned to decline the invitation, but then something happened to change my mind.
I was offered 1 of the 5 scholarships VJC offered to IP students.
At that point of time, I really knew that it was Daddy God's plan for me to go there. It was not of my own efforts that I was able to qualify. In fact, there are many other more suitable candidates who WERE NOT accepted. This is how God blesses; he knows exactly how to go about blessing you. He is really a great God, a loving God and a God FOR ME :)
I really believe that you guys are also able to receive a similar, if not BETTER blessing. Guys, know that your Daddy God loves you through and through; He will NEVER abandon you, no matter how much you feel down and out. Be blessed, so that you can be a blessing! (:

imagine that Jack owes ABC Bank $100 000.
and Jack has no means or ways of paying it off.
and along comes Jesus.
he asks, "how much does my beloved owe?"
the bank replies " a hundred thousand."
Jesus says "Here's a quadrillion. He is now free from dept now and forevermore."
Bank jaw drop.

i haven't posted here in a REALLY long time. just smth i wanted to share, from my blog.
hmm. i just wanted to say smth. it's not really important but i think it's really something different for me.
today during P&W. it was something different. usually (for some crazy reason) during P&W i'm like obsessing about how the poeple around me think about what i'm doing and because of that i hold back, i know that they always say forget about the person beside you, but i just never could, i always tried but it never worked. but for P&W today, it's like there's a really new spirit and hunger for Daddy that took over me or smth. during the Worship songs, i closed my eyes raised my hands, and for the first time in a long time, i didn't care about the people around me, it's like *snap* and my brain was just on Daddy, nothing else, nothing in the back of my brain thinking. just ZERO. NOTHING. i couldn't even tell they were there, it was like i was brought into a place where i was so at peace and i was alone, just me and Daddy-heart to heart. it was really something that was so satifying, i've never felt it in a real long time or maybe never. it was really me and Daddy, it was only when i opened my eyes again then did i remember i was in the Rock audi with so many people surrounding me. i can honestly say, of all the places i've been on this earth, i've never felt like how i felt today. it was almost like i was carried off the face of this earth. i felt so filled when P&W ended.
i've never felt this good.
thanks Daddy, ily for life!

Philippians 3:13–14
13Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Are you living a life of regrets thinking, “If only…”? “If only I had that college education… If only I had married the right girl… If only I had taken up the other job… If only I had not made that stupid mistake…”
Is your past robbing you of the joy of today? Then forget your past!
You might say, “But Pastor Prince, you do not know what I have done in the past!”
Consider Paul. If the devil had anything to bring against Paul, it would be reminders of how he had persecuted the early church and caused the deaths of many, including Stephen, the first Christian martyr.
Paul had done horrendous things that were hard for him to forget. But he had such a revelation of God’s awesome forgiveness that he could say, “forgetting those things which are behind… I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.
Beloved, God has forgiven you of all your sins. He has completely forgiven you and declared, “Your sins and lawless deeds, I will remember no more.” (Hebrews 10:17)
Like Paul, you can forget your past, the wrongs you have done and the hurts you have caused others or been through yourself. God can take the tears of yesterday and transform them into the miracles of tomorrow. He can restore to you in all abundance what you have lost. He can cause all things, even the painful events of your past, to work together for your good. (Romans 8:28)
God’s Word says, “The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.” (Isaiah 58:8) His glory will cover your past. Wherever you go, His glory covers your past. It is no longer the same past that you know of because His glory has descended on it. Your past is past. It has been wiped out. It is gone! So don’t let your past rob you of today’s joy any longer!

Hi guys! (:
This is one of the first times (or is it the first time?) I'm posting here. I know I'm DYDX, but hey, we're family right?
Anyway, I've just read the daily devotional for today @ the New Creation Church website today. Although it is a message frequently preached to us by both Pastor Prince and Ben, I just felt God telling me to share this on this blog.
The message title is "You are Perfect in God's Eyes" and it really made me feel secure and exhilarated in our Daddy God. The message revolved around the fact that Jesus' death on the cross for us has led to us being righteous in our Daddy. Pastor Prince once said that God is BOTH Holy(Just) and Merciful(Forgiving). He would punish sins and yet at the same time, he looks upon his children with compassion and love. Previously (before the law had been passed), God blessed his children(E.g Abraham) PURELY because of his mercy and favour. They did not deserve this; they were full of sin, and God blessed them. They STILL had to pay the wages of sin: Death. However, after Christ's death, we are able to be blessed NOT ONLY because God has mercy on us; we are also being blessed because WE DESERVE IT. Now, you must be thinking: "Wow! Are you trying to tell me that we are blessed despite our sins? How can we be deserving when our sins are so obvious and predominant in our lives?"
Why are we deserving? It is because of the Blood of Jesus. I remember that a long time ago, Pastor Prince showed us the tabernacle. When blood was smeared on the tabernacle, God would NOT see the high priest's sins. That was the blood of animals. Jesus' blood is worth much more, and therefore in Daddy God's eyes, our sins are NOT PRESENT. We deserve the blessing. It is not something that our Daddy gives when he feels like it. It is something HE MUST GIVE US because of Jesus who died for us. So don't be afraid or condemned when we are in front of God; stand happily with Daddy and believe he views you as his prefect little child. Regarding death, although some believer do die physically, they are automatically transported to heaven and given ETERNAL LIFE. How much better is this? (:
I don't pretend that whatever I'm sharing here is flawless, if there is any inconsistency or discrepancy, feel free to tell me (:
Really wish you guys a blessed week!
Love,
Richard.

Just felt like posting my notes up...
In case it may help anyone...
In any way possible...
hopefully...
All of us cry for the person of Jesus
like the Word...etc...
We want more of Him
When we are hungry for Jesus, we get bored.
So bored = hungry for the Lord
When hungry, we need to feed ourselves with the right food.
2 Samuel 11 : 1-17...short summary...
King David was supposed to go fight battle but he stayed back in Jerusalem.
For what? I'm not sure...
so anyway...
David at home nothing to do, so he go walk walk in the palace.
you know palace very tall right...on high ground.
so he walking walking then saw...
BATHsheba BATHing...
so David saw that she was beautiful and then decided to spend a night with her*cough cough ahem ahem*
so she was pregnant after that...
so David was scared that the people will find out and accuse him of adultary/adultry/adult-tree.
so when the husband came back from war, David ask him go sleep with his with.but he said "my brother all fighting the war, how can i do something like this while they are out there suffering"
something like that.
so he dint sleep with bathesheba.
so of course everyone will get suspicious if bathsheba dint sleep with her husband and is pregnant.
so David purposely go make the guy die in war...then get bathsheba as his wife.
Even when you did wrong, don't run away from God.
†Jesus† = Grace
Luke 15 Prodigal Son...short summary...of the end...
the son was with the pigs..and suffering...
then he thought..."even the servants in my father's house have bread and enough to spare, i think i shall go to my father and ask to be a servant"
so then he came up with this huge "speech" on how to make his father make him a servant
so he went home...
WHILE HE WAS STILL A LONG WAY OFF, HIS FATHER RAN TO HIM AND EMBRACED HIM
then he started saying "i have sinned against you and heaven blah blah blah"
then the father ignored his speech and shout
"BRING THE BEST ROBE AND PUT IT ON HIM! PUT A RING ON HIS FINGER AND SANDALS ON HIS FEET! KILL THE FATTED CALF AND LETS PARTY!"
the son thought that the father was the angry type...the kind of father that would hate him for wasting the inheritance and still have the cheek to come back home...but he was wrong!
the father was happy.
Luke 15:24
For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.
Like how Daddy God would be happy when we go to Him even when we fail.
2 Samuel 12
Nathan told David a story about this shepherd and what happened to his sheeps
David was angry cos he was a shepherd boy last time and he understands the pain
God gave Nathan the wisdom to help David.
God will also give our leaders/Jay the wisdom to help us.
Luke 10:38-42
Martha received Jesus into her house.
She had a sister, Mary
Mary sat at Jesus' feet and listened to everything that Jesus had to say
Martha was busy preparing and stuff
Then she turned to Jesus and asked Jesus to tell Mary to help her out
Jesus said "only 1 thing is needed. and mary has chose the good part, WHICH IS TO HER ADVANTAGE"
Mary SHOULD be serving.
Should → Law
But she listened and THAT was to her advantage
so listening to the word = good
I can ask God for many things
Wisdom...Favor...etc
Patience is important!
It holds your faith and carries it further
Even if you don't see the manifestation, it is growing!
Wait.
Eat of Jesus
oh yeah...we also did this "discussion" on the picture of a wine press?
ya...then each group sent a representative to explain what we discussed
And what I learnt was that...
Jesus' shed blood on the cross is our forgiveness and righteousness.
And if we go to Jesus without any pretense, we will receive that full forgiveness cos we will know that it's real forgiveness not a fake lie or what cos we are going to Him honestly, our true self.
Something like that. I don't know how I got this but I did.

| | Kept In All Your Ways By God’s Angels |
|
You are about to step onto the road when something pulls you back just in time to avoid being hit by a speeding car. You are shocked. When you come to your senses, you ask yourself, “Could it be that an angel just saved me from a fatal accident?” I believe that angels walk with us. The verse tells us that God has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. And in their hands they will bear us up, so that not even a stone will trip us up. But we may not know it when we encounter an angel. (Hebrews 13:2) This was probably the case with a couple in our church who were holidaying at a beach resort on Penang Island when a tsunami struck at about 12.30pm on 26 December 2004. It was slightly past 11am when the wife suddenly had a craving for food from the mainland. The couple decided to check out earlier, so that they could reach the mainland in time for lunch. While loading their luggage into their car at the hotel driveway, a man impatiently motioned to them to hurry up and get moving. Annoyed by his impatience, they quickly loaded their stuff and drove off. The minute they reached the mainland, they heard that a tsunami had struck Penang Island at the same beach where they were just a while ago. While thanking God for their narrow escape, it suddenly dawned on them that the impatient man could have been an angel charged by God to hurry them off! God tells us that we have an innumerable company of angels. (Hebrews 12:22) And He has given them charge over us to protect us from accidents, natural disasters, terrorist bombings and other dangers. So don’t fear these things and lock yourself at home. Go for that holiday! Go for that lunch appointment! Believe that God loves you, and thank Him for His angels who walk with you and watch over you! |

God Wants His Children Well And Joyful
John 14:9
9Jesus said to him, “… He who has seen Me has seen the Father…
Imagine the following scenario: A father tells his little girl, “Come here, girl. Mummy says that you have been playing by the roadside. Is that true?” “Yes, Daddy. I am sorry.” “Sorry? How many times have I told you not to play near the road? Come here! Lie down on the road and stretch out your legs!”
Daddy drives his car over his little girl’s legs. You can hear the sound of bones being crushed and the poor girl screaming in pain!
“Now, darling, you know that Daddy loves you. And Daddy did that to teach you a lesson, that playing by the roadside is dangerous.”
You are probably shaking your head in horror by now, wondering which sick father would do that. Yet, there are many Christians who believe that our heavenly Father does the same thing. They say that He gives people sicknesses, accidents, earthquakes and death to teach them lessons.
But Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” Jesus is the nature of God in action. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus or God going about healing the sick. If God wants some people sick, then there should be at least one incident in the Gospels where you see Jesus saying, “Behold, your complexion is too lovely, receive leprosy,” or “Blindness is good for you. Remain blind.” But no, never once! In fact, Jesus “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil”. (Acts 10:38) That’s the heart of God.
As a father, if your child is sick and in pain, your heart just wants him well. How much more your heavenly Father! My friend, God does not give your child a sickness to teach both of you some lesson or to glorify Himself. To think so is to talk out of a warped mind bound by religion! And Christianity is not a religion. It is a loving relationship with your Father in heaven.
Beloved, hear God speaking this to your heart today: “I will never punish you for your sins because they have been punished in My Son’s body. I do not wish you ill. I will not take away your child or give you a car wreck to teach you some lesson. My heart always wants My children well and joyful!”
