Psalm 22
1My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
2O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
6But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
8He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
9But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
10I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
11Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.
29All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
I was flipping thru psalms during sermon today and came across this psalm that caught my eye. And the book of psalms was written waaay before Jesus was born.
Matthew 27:46
46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Exact words of Jesus, on the cross, more than 2000 years later.
And the whole chapter of Psalms 22 is like, what Christ went through to buy us salvation.
16For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
The assembly of the wicked most likely refers to the chief priests and elders who brought Jesus before Pontius Pilate for execution. And "they pierced my hands and feet". You should know where thats from.
18They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
Matthew 27:35
35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
It's like a prophetic vision of David.
and this is my favourate part.
20Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
it speaks of sacrifice. We are in Christ, we are in His soul, and we were delivered from the sword cos of Jesus' act of great love on the cross, and it also says "deliver my darling from the power of the dog" which also means (to me) is like a picture of us, bound, gaged, about to be sentanced to death, when Jesus, stepped down from Heaven, from the Father's right hand, with His robes of majesty and glory, came and took our place, gave us His purple robes, took our filthy rags and pushed us out of harms way, taking the full punishment for our sins.
I'll elaborate more when i have the time, now i have to rush to finish up a project :)
Hope this blessed you.

Jesus I can see you in the southern sky
When the clouds aren't out the sun is shining through.
Jesus do you feel me when our worlds collide
and if have nothing at least I still have you.
5 miles away from, so far away from all we know, all we know.
Jesus do you feel me when I calling out?
When I'm asking you to be all that I need.
Jesus help me understand that what I want may not be, what I need.
5 miles away from, so far away from, all we know, all we know.
Jesus falling from the sky, yeah you're lifting me up.
I see your love falling down and yeah, you're lifting me up.
You're all I know.
You're all I know.
Jesus falling from the ground, yeah, you're picking me up.
I see your love falling down and yeah you're lifting me up.
You're all I know.
You're all I know.
Jesus falling from the ground you're picking me up.
Yeah, Jesus falling down and now you're picking me up.
You're all I know.
You're all I know.
You're falling from the ground.
You're lifting me up.
Yeah, you're lifting me up.
You're all I know.
Jesus I can see you in the southern sky
5 miles away from, so far away from, all we know, all we know.
Awesome song. :)

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world givesDo not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] do I give to you.
Shalom.

hi, ignore abby, HAHA. you cannot blame me okay. i thought black and white magic were opposite :(
cos white magic is WHITEEEEEE magic. so i thought black magic is black MAGICCCCCCC.
:( :( :( :( :(
nevermind, i love you all, blessed new year. here are my new year's resolution.
- To have a deeper & greater revelation of God, because I want to fall deeper & deeper in love with Him each day.
- To be happy
- To stop complaining, i whine a lot
- Peace in the family
- Closer bond with both family & friends
- Well, new class, new teachers, new classmates, new juniors @ choir (and I'm a friggin' senior now, omgosh), so I just want to get along well with everyone, I should stop being anti-social.
- Rest (this year, everything will be done out of His rest.)
- Cope well with studies, since secondary three will be tougher as compared to sec one and two.
- Excel
- To notice every single blessing that comes my way and be thankful for it (which brings me back to point 3, stop complaining.)
- Stop being lazy & worry-some
- Keep room neat and tidy without mother having to remind me to do it
- Spend less time on the internet & take time out to do something.
- Keep to curfews
- More time to spend with the ones I love
- Survive OBS (seriously.)
- Read books and do real book reviews.
- Be on good terms with the Chinese teacher that I will get (I haven't been nice to my past two chinese teachers, i got demerit ticket wth.)
- Talk
- Be pro-active in class & cca.
- Stop getting mummy to write letters of excuse for me to skip school or cca for a day or two. I was only sick once or twice in 2009 and I got an MC for it, I went back to school sounding like a duck or some guy breaking voice.
- stop being vulgar and stop using the two four-letter word that starts with F and D respectively.
- Survive 2010 :)
