HELLO :D

HELLLOOOOOO DG ! (DGYX?)
Cherie here and i wanna share sth with you guys :D

i came across alene's(do you all still remember her?) twitter and she had a link to one of the verses in the bible and i think its awesome (:

Matthew 11:28 (The Message)

28-30"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Since since this is the year of Rest, i think this verse fits perfectly (: For me, Secondary 3 so far hasn't been very smooth sailing cause its a bigbig jump in the subjects and im kinda struggling to cope with the subjects. I think if i never heard those messages on rest, i would be almost dead ): But thank God im in new creation church !

REST REST REST !

back to the verse ~ That verse is really useful for all of us i believe . or maybe most of us? We can ask ourselves if we are tired or worn out just going through the 1st month of school and my answer is YES . i am veryvery tired ~ This verse tells us that God wants to show us REAL rest (:

Go to God for REAL rest, WALK with God :D

One of the meanings of company is fellowship and fellowship = friendly relationship; companionship: the fellowship of father and son.

So God wants us to have a friendly relationship with Him :D and its not just a friend to friend relationship, it is a Father(Abba) to Son relationship! How awesome huh ? :D

SOSOSO, when you have that father(Abba) to son relationship with God, ITS REST (because we will learn to live freely and lightly and with no stress) (:

I hope this has helped :D

Its pretty short but its the thought that counts :D

OKOK . i will see you guys soon ! its time for me to start doing my homework (:

love you guys soso much !

( do tell me if there is sth wrong in the post (: )

God Helps The Helpless

Psalm 63:7
7Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.

I have had people tell me, “Pastor Prince, please pray for me. I can’t see a way out of the mess I am in. I know that this whole thing is my fault. Right now, I don’t even know whether God will hear my prayers.”

If you think about it, a whole lot of our troubles are of our own making. But it is when we deserve the punishment and not the blessing that we can receive grace — the undeserved favor and unmerited help of God!

When we stop trying to be deserving of God’s help, we find God more than willing to be our Savior. But when we continue to try to work things out, we are trying to be our own saviors. God will say, “Save yourself because I can’t help you when you don’t need My help.”

You might be thinking, “But Pastor Prince, don’t you know, God helps those who help themselves?”

Contrary to popular belief, this saying that “God helps those who help themselves” is not in the Bible! God does not help those who help themselves. He helps those who are helpless and dependent on Him. He helps those who look to Him as their only source of help for their problem.

If you say, “My problem is that I am weak.” God says, “That is not a problem. I am your strength.” If you say, “Lord, my face is the problem. I am ugly.” God says, “My face will shine on yours. I am your glory.” If you say, “Lord, I am the problem. I am a nobody.” God says, “I will make you a somebody.”

Unfortunately, many of us are still trying to help ourselves, thinking that for certain matters, we don’t really need God. But God says, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Do we really believe that? Or do we believe that without Him, we can still do some things to help ourselves?

Only when we realize that we can do nothing, and are nothing in and of ourselves, can we do all things through Christ who strengthens us! (Philippians 4:13) Then, we will see the undeserved, unmerited help and favor of God deliver us from every evil!
